Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 Automotive Fleet Assistants (AFA) to join our team based in Surrey, 1 being based in the East and 1 based in the West.
The AFA position is to ensure full compliance of routine scheduled mechanical, ancillary equipment and vehicle deep cleans at all times. You will ensure reported defects are rectified in a timely manner whilst ensuring the fleet management system (Fleetcheck) is updated daily to reflect maintenance events that have been completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to any EMED bases (within Surrey Heartlands) to repair, service and maintain product/equipment as per the manufacturer’s guidelines as required.
  • Manage VOR (vehicle off road) status and update daily records
  • Ensure defects are promptly cleared and vehicle deep cleans are completed with supporting documentation
  • Coordinate scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Carry out checks and replacements of electrical components, within EMED guidelines.
  • Ensure adequate supply of basic spare parts are available and maintained within the Leicester Contract and any defects reported as per the defect process.
  • Work safely, ensuring Health and Safety and COSHH regulations are adhered to.
  • Advise Fleet management team where a product cannot be successfully repaired to a safe standard.
  • On the occasion equipment cannot be repaired on site arrange for the equipment to be returned to manufacturer or arrange for the manufacturer to attend base.
  • Report equipment that had been involved in an incident, to the Fleet management team.
  • Ensure all vehicles for disposal are de-kitted before collection and a log of all equipment has been taken.
