DESCRIPTION

Location - Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates for this position must already hold a position in the Edmonton zone in the department of OBGYN and in Women’s Health.
  • Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as an Obstetrician Gynecologist.. The positions will allow up to 0.5 FTE for medical education or research; the remaining FTE will be clinical services with AHS.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate(s) selected for this position will be referred to the AMHSP Arrangement Management Committee to finalize their yearly individual service agreement, which the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and Alberta Health Services jointly approved.
  • This position will actively participate in medical education and/or research. In addition to post-graduate residency training, the Department has commitments to education as a part of the MD Program with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, providing pre-clinical and clinical teaching for core and elective experiences for undergraduate MD students.
  • Continuing professional development for our faculty is key to this growth of our educational programs. and we are recruiting a clinician educator for the role of Continuing Professional Development Lead to support our teaching faculty.
