DESCRIPTION
Location - Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates for this position must already hold a position in the Edmonton zone in the department of OBGYN and in Women’s Health.
- Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as an Obstetrician Gynecologist. The positions will allow up to 0.5 FTE for medical education or research; the remaining FTE will be clinical services with AHS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to physicians with previous interest in and/or additional medical education and/or research training.

Responsibilities:
- The UME assistant coordinator will support the curriculum development and scheduling, assessment (including OSCEs), orientation, lectures and small group learning, and the education coordinators at the hospital teaching sites (RAH, GNH, MCH, SCH, and Grande Prairie).
- The UME assistant coordinator will also help lead the Grande Prairie Medical School Northern expansion.
- This position will actively participate in medical education and/or research
