Description:

IFDS Ireland has an opportunity for a detail-orientated professional to join our high performing Compliance team as an AML/CFT Compliance Officer (VP) and Deputy MLRO.
This is a 15 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate has 5 years or more Fund AML/CFT experience and has worked at senior (AVP/VP) level in an AML/CFT or Compliance Team and is experienced at analysing corporate company processes and performing testing to ensure that controls are in place to meet regulatory requirements.
Location: Hybrid including working at IFDS’s Dublin city centre office at Bishops Square, Dublin 2.

Required:

  • Extensive Fund AML/CFT expertise and knowledge of Ireland AML/CFT regulations and guidance.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg AML/CFT Requirements would also be beneficial.
  • Analytical skills – you are able to review processes with accuracy and identify potential control gaps
  • Effective communication skills – you are experienced at presenting and communicating with senior management and clients
  • High quality business and report writing skills – you can convey relevant information clearly and accurately

Responsibilities:

  • You will perform AML Monitoring and Testing (M&T) reviews of the FLOD AML/CFT team processes to ensure that effective controls are in place to meet AML/CFT regulatory requirements and IFDSI policies and procedures;
  • You will review and approve escalated AML/CFT cases e.g. Politically-Exposed persons, Enhanced Due Diligence, potential suspicious transaction and sanction breach cases
  • You will draft AML/CFT compliance reporting and escalate AML/CFT matters to the IFDSI Governance Forums and to the IFDSI Board
  • You will update and review the AML/CFT Policy and Economic and Financial Sanctions Policy, Account Opening Guidelines and AML/CFT training
  • You will draft the Firm’s Business Risk Assessment and Process Risk Assessment for presentation to the IFDSI Senior Managers and Board.
  • You will report suspicious transactions to the Gardai (FIU) and Revenue Commissioners
