Description:
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for: - Carrying out assessments of patients with limb loss and identify appropriate interventions under the guidance of qualified Therapists. Designing exercise programmes, including home exercise programmes for individual patients. Supervising and progressing individual patient’s rehabilitation programmes, considering their needs and progress along the patient pathway Implementing rehabilitation programmes for individuals that address their needs and goals. Assisting and conducting rehabilitation classes Ensuring high standards of health and safety are maintained to ensure safety of patients and compliance with trust policy.
You will be required to: - Lead and demonstrate sport specific activities to patients to a high degree of skill and physical fitness. Contribute and develop both policies and procedures for the use of the gym and rehabilitation protocols. Translate a theoretical knowledge in anatomy and physiology and strength and conditioning to this patient population. Have an active role within the MDT to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Experience of working with individuals with limb difference is desirable but not essential as patient specific training can be offered.
