Remuneration: $34.10 - $42.11 p/h + 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Day Surgery Centre is an extension of St Andrews War Memorial Hospital. The brand-new surgery centre offers a dedicated day surgery experience and a wide range of procedures for patients who do not require an overnight stay in hospital.
The purpose-built surgical centre is located opposite the main hospital within St Andrew’s Place on North St, Spring Hill, and features two procedure rooms, an operating theatre, as well as admission and recovery spaces. The centre has been designed to meet the growing demand for surgical treatment at St Andrew’s, and changing patient and clinician preferences for same-day procedures. By bringing together the finest medical experts, care and technology, we’re able to deliver personalised care and world-class results.

Your part in St Andrew’s War Memorial Day Surgery Centre
As an Anaesthetic Technician you will provide support to anaesthetists during complex and high-acuity surgical procedures, including cardiac, paediatric, and neuro surgeries.
The position is based within a newly purpose-built surgical centre and features two procedure rooms, an operating theatre, as well as admission and recovery spaces where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient administration of anaesthesia.
What Makes a difference for us?
- Anaesthetic Technician Qualification
- Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience as an anaesthetic assistant in an operating theatre environment.
- Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorships at this time)
- Experience in anaesthesia care, including cardiac, paediatric, and neuro surgeries advantageous
- Knowledge of advanced anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques, and emergency management protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with multiple complex cases.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle stressful and dynamic situations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster between 6am - 6pm, Mon - Fri
- Availability to commence 24th March 2025
