About the Role
As an Analyst in our team, you’ll play a key role in helping to require application of credit /risk assessment skills and deal structuring capabilities to execute transactions jointly with Project Finance, Relationship Bankers, Product Partner professionals and Institutional Risk. The role is customer-facing; the Corporate Finance is charged with managing relationships with groups involved in Resources (that is, Mining and Oil and Gas and Contractors); Renewable Energy (Wind, Battery, Solar, Hydrogen) and Infrastructure (Airports, Toll roads, Ports, Rail and Infrastructure Funds). Industry specific research and ongoing portfolio management functions are also core responsibilities.

What will your day look like?
As an Analyst, you will provide operational support to Specialised Finance businesses such as Project Finance, Export Finance, Structured Asset Finance and Leverage and Acquisition Finance.
This role is to empower the business to manage daily operational duties that helps embed sustainable and well managed practices and service ANZ’s customers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for the end to end management of customer overall limits and all matters relating to their loan facilities – from setting up of the customer group in ANZ Core systems, to ongoing management of their loans, to timely collections of all fees and payments due and payable by the customers.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience within a financial institution, or a corporate treasury function of a non-financial institution
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal, and an ability to work with excel on financial modelling of projects.
Relevant Tertiary/post graduate qualifications
Knowledge / awareness of Resources, Energy and Infrastructure industry segments
Some experience with risk assessment, cash flow analysis and forecasting, and exposure to credit negotiations and transaction documentation
Ability to effectively manage real-time business demands requiring accurate assessment of risk/reward opportunities
