REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in related field (e.g. Finance or Real Estate)
• Further education (in process or completed) also desirable (CFA, ICAEW, CAIA, RICS)
• 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience in high functioning team
• Proficiency in Excel modelling (particularly cashflows, returns and scenario analysis), Word and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English; German or Spanish is a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE

Cushman & Wakefield are seeking an enthusiastic and analytical Consultant looking to work in a commercial environment. The leading candidate will strengthen their growing international team, focusing on debt and structured capital solutions for clients. The role is dynamic, local/European/Global in scope offering daily interaction with clients and capital providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will join an international and experienced team made up of 12+ real estate and finance professionals spread over offices in Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Helsinki and Warsaw. Responsibilities will include supporting colleagues, clients, lenders and other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the loan origination and execution process, including:

• Tracking current, future and potential clients and their needs, ensuring the (CRM) system is up-to-date and that clients are targeted and followed up with in a timely manner;
• Meeting and interacting with lenders to expand and update understanding of the lender landscape, ensuring the database is up-to-date with relevant information and lender appetite.
• Supporting the pitch process – interacting with the client, sourcing lender data, and formulating and drafting pitch documents to win new business;
• Conducting financial modelling to evaluate new financing mandates across a variety of capital sources including core, core-plus and value-add opportunities across all major asset classes including Residential, Industrial, Office, Student, retail and alternative asset classes;
• Preparing financing memorandums for the formal RFP process, liaising with clients, designers and key sector specialists within C&W to incorporate the very latest research in an easily digestible and evidence-based package;
• Providing analytical support on a wide variety of assignments including market research, cash flow modelling, property valuation, tenant credit reviews and interest rate and hedging analysis;
• As transactions progress to closing, exhibit strong project management skills – ensuring timelines are met, potential issues are pre-empted and mitigated and key stakeholders are kept informed.
