Description:

Private Equity Analyst/Associate/Senior Associate
Our client is one of the Pan-Asian leading Private Equity firm which was established in Japan 27 years ago. They now have an aggregate AUM of more than USD 6B and have invested in more than 120 companies since inception. They have been expanding into the Asia market in recent years, particularly focusing on SEA. They are establishing a Fund 2 for Asia investments and are hiring a team to join them.
They are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their dynamic team as an Analyst/Associate/Senior Associate depending on the experience. The ideal candidate will have 3/5/7 years of experience in consulting or investment banking experience, with a proven track record of excellence in financial analysis, due diligence, and deal execution in South-East Asian markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Based in Singapore, the team member will be required to travel around South-East Asia.
  • To engage in full range of investment, value-add activities to exit, under senior professional’s supervision.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modelling to evaluate investment opportunities, including performing company valuations, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing.
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing industry trends, competitive landscapes, and target company financials.
  • Support the deal execution process, including preparing investment memos, presenting findings to senior leadership and negotiating deal terms.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and participate in strategic decision-making processes, including identifying value creation opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of transactions and successful portfolio management.

Requirements

  • 3/5/7 years of working experience in professional firms with preference in consulting companies, accounting firms, investment banks or M&A boutique houses.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong business acumen and a passion for the private equity industry, with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Fluent English. An additional SE Asian language is an advantage (Bahasa Indonesian, Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, Philippino).
