We’re looking for our next Analyst, Capital Markets. Could It Be You?
The Capital Markets team’s mandate is to develop, implement, and manage wholesale funding and capital market strategies to further support the Questrade Group of companies’ continued growth and expansion into adjacent financial services. The Capital Markets team is responsible for all aspects of wholesale funding and securitization for the Questrade Group of companies.
This role will be integral to supporting the Capital Markets mandate and ultimately the organization’s mission to care deeply about helping Canadians become much more financially successful and secure.
What’s it like working as an Analyst, Capital Markets at Questrade?
The Analyst will work directly with the Manager, Capital Markets to support the Director, Capital Markets and Managing Director, Capital Markets. The Analyst will play a key role on the Capital Markets team, with a focus on daily operations and analysis to facilitate funding transactions including reporting, forecasting, and modeling. Superior communication skills and analytical skills are essential for this position.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to administer wholesale funding and securitization programs
• Conduct regular reconciliations of incoming and outgoing cash flows related to funding transactions.
• Develop frameworks, processes, and document procedures as required to optimize programs
• Prepare complex reporting and forecasting required by outstanding funding facilities
• Conduct ad hoc research, modeling, and analysis
• Assist with the creation of internal and external presentation materials and analysis
• Work in conjunction with other internal teams on collaborative projects, including finance, treasury, legal, compliance, marketing, technology and financial product groups

• Holds a finance related university degree – preferred
• Have advanced financial modeling skills; Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills; SQL, VBA and Python skills will be a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with multiple levels of management and external partners
• 1 - 3 years of treasury, funding, securitization and/or capital markets experience preferred
• Experience working in Financial Services is an asset
• Ability to manage multiple and competing projects simultaneously, with varied audiences and needs, with the ability to work and resolve problems independently
• Ability to operate in a constantly changing and complex business environment
• Driven to succeed – ability to work collaboratively in a results-oriented team, motivated by exceeding targets, and striving to make a positive impact across the business.
• Pushes the status quo and brings actionable ideas to grow the business, with a self-starting and can-do attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail a must
