POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Analyst, Compliance, you will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting and determining impact of incoming reliability standards on existing processes. The Analyst will edit and create new processes, train personal impacted and ensure the compliance by reviewing the outcome of the established process. This position will require collaboration with internal mandatory reliability team members as well as other departmental and third-party stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Completion of a recognized Business Diploma with a focus on project management, business or financial analysis.
  • Experience: 3 years of related experience with process and procedure development and training, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems operations, environment and peripherals and various applications software in use in the department (SAP & suite of MS Office products).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to rationally process, assess, and evaluate options to form conclusions.
  • Highly organized (ability to manage multiple priorities and/or issues)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details process efficiency and streamlining.
  • Excellent facilitator, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) in order to work effectively with users and other team members.
  • Work effectively within a cross functional group including technical team members to achieve consensus.
  • Able to learn independently and work effectively in a continuously changing environment.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliance reviews/analysis and document all applicable business processes.
  • Monitor, research and communicate related regulatory and compliance activity.
  • Identify compliance issues and work with business unit to recommend solutions and rectify discrepancies.
  • Assists members with interpretation and application of Reliability Standards.
  • Assists with the implementation of the compliance management program and the application of BC Reliability Standards, policies, procedures and technologies.
  • Document and maintain MRS process documentation.
  • Make recommendations on improvements to department systems, structure and processes.
  • Assist with project planning and processes.
  • Analyze, identify and interpret the impact of possible MRS violations to stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying, creating and monitoring system controls to support objectives and regulatory compliance. Assist with the development of presentation materials and training regarding MRS requirements, compliance, etc.
  • Provide budget and financial support to MRS related centres and projects (Analyze, investigate, provide recommendations)
  • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties, which do not affect the rating of the job.
