What we are looking for:
The Analyst, Consolidations reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Corporate Reporting, will be responsible for executing the monthly financial consolidation and will contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare corporate accounting entries to support month-end close;
  • Prepare elimination entries and reconciliations to support the consolidated financial results;
  • Liaise with divisional accounting teams to prepare consolidation entries and coordinate post-close adjustments;
  • Provide support to divisional accounting teams for the use of the ERP system (SAP) and become a subject matter expert in the use of the group reporting module;
  • Prepare supporting schedules, analysis, and disclosures to support the quarterly consolidated financial statements and internal reporting;
  • Provide support and answer queries from external auditors;
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from various stakeholders.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting;
  • Working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • Public company reporting or Audit experience is a strong asset;
  • Progressive work experience in accounting;
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards including the application of analysis and accounting standards;
  • Experience with financial and consolidation systems (e.g. SAP 4 S/4Hana considered an asset) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel;
  • Strong understanding of consolidation principles, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.
