Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE

The role requires balanced capabilities in data, dashboard development, financial analytics, and credit risk acumen to develop insights to optimise financial risk outcomes for customers and the business.
We use a data-driven approach to support the BL Financial Risk Committee monitor credit performance and ensure portfolios operate within Business Banking risk appetite. The key to this is a deep understanding and oversight of portfolio credit performance, key risk indicators and return on equity.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Detailed analysis of risk and financial data to investigate developing trends relating to write-off, loss rates and troublesome assets, with a focus on identifying actionable insights to optimise the risk and return profile of the portfolio.
  • Develop new targeted returns vs. risk dashboards for BL teams that provide visibility of portfolio Flow (Origination) and Stock quality that allow easy interrogation and insights.
  • Recommend initiatives to optimise BL portfolio composition by performing detailed qualitative and quantitative driver analysis of credit risk, Return on Equity (RoE) and Profit after Capital Charge (PACC) measures.
  • Review and recalibrate key risk indicators and thresholds to ensure they continue to accurately measure and reflect BB risk appetite.
  • There will also be the opportunity to work with adjacent Centre of Excellence teams to develop automated decisioning and credit strategies to support customer outcomes.
