Description:
The successful candidate will analyse security requirements and assess the needs within Customer groups so that a balance between business goals and risk mitigation may be realised through the use of information security processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, specify security requirements and specify or conduct technical security tests to ensure secure and resilient information systems, devices or applications are installed and maintained.
- Ensure that appropriate software and customer documentation is developed to support installed solutions and to ensure a smooth transition into the production environment.
- Ensure that proposed information security solutions are in accordance with the organisation’s strategic information security direction and utilise the endorsed Corporate methodologies.
- Support the team leader in delivering information security advice and consulting services , ensuring at all times that a quality solution is being delivered within approved expenditure levels.
- Ability to deliver quality advice or services in at least one of the following information security fields: Performance, Governance, Policy, Strategy, Architecture, Training and Awareness, Communications, Incident Management, Vulnerability Management or Risk
- Build and maintain effective working relationships by communicating, consulting and negotiating with Information Management / Information Communication Technology professionals to promote sound Information Security practices throughout the
- Provide expert advice and support to the Director, Information Security and Manager, Information Security Solutions about information security matters.
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities’, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability in the development and implementation of information security strategies, in a large, complex and geographically dispersed service delivery organisation.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
- Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with senior and multi-disciplinary staff at the organisational, state and national levels.
- Proven ability to liaise, negotiate and communicate, both verbally and in writing, with customers and management at all levels throughout the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
