What You’ll Be Doing
As a Analyst, Deployment Support, you will join CIBC’s Application Engineering and Shared Services Deployment Team to ensure configurations and files are ready for deployment. Responsible for ensuring that planned changes are implemented successfully according to the implementation plan and verify that there are no issues with each deployment.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Deployment Support - Gather project requirements from Project Manager and Delivery team, review checklist with EPSP Deployment Team. Work with Deployment Lead to prepare and manage all versions of build packages completed in EPSP environments (SIT/UAT/PTE/PROD).
  • Verification - Ensure that the deployment dates for changes that are initiated within the Change Initiation Window are approved by the following teams: QA Team, PTE Team, Project Team and Deployment Team, gather deployment procedures and review before creating change records. Ensure Deployment Checklist is completed prior to scheduled deployments.
  • Post-Implementation – Work with Deployment Lead to ensure that changes are deployed correctly and thoroughly verified as outlined in the implementation plan and change after a SIT/UAT implementation is complete. Complete a post-implementation review with Deployment Lead and stakeholders. Conduct initial investigations during 1-month warranty period, post-implementation, should any issues arise.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Java/J2EE application development and support (3-5 years), you possess strong knowledge of Solaris/Linux based applications (3-5 years), and Oracle applications. It’s an asset if you are an Application Developer with experience in working on the application operations side and has knowledge of tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace. It would be considered a strong asset if you are familiar with IBM Datapower/Urban Code, Red Hat OpenShift and CD/CI DevOps operation model.
