Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, banking products, relevant regulations in order to understand the business of the Bank’s clients and energy transition developments. Contribute to the day-to-day management of client relationships.
  • Support senior colleagues in the origination of financing (loans, financial markets, transaction services, debt capital markets) and/or project advisory mandates across Asia Pacific, in the energy sector. Tasks may include pitch book preparation, industry research and financial modelling.
  • Coordinate and assist in performing due diligence, including coordinating lenders’ advisors and reviewing due diligence reports to support the risk analysis and determine bankability.
  • Building and/or review of detailed financial models for the purposes of project advisory and or lending mandates. Prepare memos and reports as needed for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparation and review memos to seek approval for the credit applications. Memos to include analysis on transaction structure, financial modelling sensitivities, creditworthiness of relevant parties, and industry and regulatory environment. Assist in term sheet preparation, review and financing documentation review.
  • Support deal closing processes, including conditions precedent follow-ups, funding, on-boarding, various administrative processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, including Know- Your-Client requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as required.

To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:

  • Degree holder preferably in Economics / Mathematics / Sciences / Finance / Accounting / Engineering.
  • Financial modelling capability with Microsoft Excel including the ability to build detailed financial models (including the usage of basic Macros).
  • Strong analytical capability with preference for candidates with experience writing company analysis, market analysis, analysing company financials.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and to multi-task.
  • Motivated, a commitment to excellence and having a can do” attitude.
  • Team player who has the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
