POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an exceptional Analyst to join our Financial Services M&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with senior professionals on high-profile transactions within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for finance, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Preferred Educational Background: Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field from a Tier 1 university or business school.
Experience: At least some prior investment banking or related financial services experience is preferred (including internships).

SKILLS:

  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Conduct detailed financial modeling, including DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
  • Industry Research: Perform in-depth research on financial institutions, industry trends, market data, and regulatory changes.
  • Transaction Execution: Support senior professionals in all aspects of deal execution, including preparation of presentations, pitch books, process coordination and client deliverables.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and maintain professional relationships with clients and investors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior professionals, colleagues in other divisions, and external partners to promote our “One A&M” proposition, execute transactions and deliver outstanding results for our clients.
