SUMMARY: Responsible for applying moderate to complex principles of finance to analyze past and present financial operations and estimates future revenues and expenditures to prepare budget.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Aids management in program setup and execution. Analyzes budgets and schedules to meet project requirements for programs. Develops financial reports and estimates. Reviews risks and action items and maintains a database for each. Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses. Document revenues and expenditures expected and submits to management. Advises management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Interprets budgets to management. Assist in the financial analysis of legislative projects to develop capital improvement budget. May assist communities to develop budget and efficient use of funds.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE: 2 - 4 years progressive responsibility in accounting. Must have 3+ years federal contracts experience with medium to large contractors.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
Position Location – Remote
Salary Range – 86,250 thru 138,000
California +14%, Colorado +3%, New York City +25%, Washington +9%
- Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
