Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

The High Jewelry Analyst supports the Manager in the development of the High Jewelry business. The Analyst is responsible for maintaining new product development roadmaps and ensuring accuracy of information communicated cross-functionally to facilitate projects and meet key milestones. The Analyst will partner with Manager in maintaining SKU-level details, pricing strategies for new and existing product, driving margin while maintaining proper pricing relationships among internal comps and competitive landscape. They will also develop reports and analyze product performance to initiate and facilitate new product development accordingly. Cross-functionally, the Analyst will partner with a variety teams across Merchandising and Commercial on product strategies and new product launches.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lifecycle Management & Systematic Support

  • Create and maintain image grids throughout various stages of development, ensuring accuracy of item detail.
  • Update and maintain accurate item data for SKU-level attributes, descriptions and ticket information across merchandising systems and image grids.
  • Create and maintain loose gemstone and diamond tracking & location files.
  • Prepare and review price change submissions.
  • Ensure project milestones are met on a timely basis (including SKU creation, maintenance, pricing updates and sign-off).

Reporting & Assortment Analysis

  • Perform analysis and reporting for all monthly, quarterly, and annual business needs related to sales, product assortment, pricing, and gross margin for High Jewelry.
  • Support the creation and development of reports and presentations for meetings and conferences, summarizing new product introductions and performance of current assortment.
  • Analyze product assortments such as collection, classification, price point and sales trends, and make proposals for merchandise based on findings.
  • Conduct reviews to validate the product assortment and provide recommendations for product requiring obsolescence management.

Pricing

  • Assist Manager with formal price change reporting and presentations which include conducting analysis and gathering comparison SKU information to set retails for new and existing product, considering both margin targets and sales goals.
  • Assist Manager with monitoring and addressing pricing discrepancies, submit off-cycle pricing requests.
  • Determine retail replacement values for Valuation requests based on current market values, cost information, comparable products and dept. gross margin structure.
  • Determine estimate retails for Custom Design requests based on like product (on hand & sold) and dept. gross margin structure.
  • Maintain accurate pricing files and ensure overall gross margin targets are met.
  • Pricing new receipts.

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive High Jewelry business needs, such as preparing presentation materials, distributing reports and completing administrative tasks.
  • Kick off on new development projects and ensure stone purchases/transfers for these projects.
  • Provide timely product details and on order quantities to help support sales.
  • Coordinate style-outs and product category reviews.
  • Follow up on PO status updates and late orders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Gemstone knowledge; Graduate Gemologist a plus
  • Overall industry knowledge of High Jewelry
  • Prior Category Management and reporting experience
  • Knowledge of SAP/Power BI Query
  • Knowledge of Tiffany & Co. merchandise information systemsKnowledge of Tiffany & Co. Operations

  • The hiring range for this position ranges from $74,035 - $100,165. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience
