SKILLS REQUIRED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Prepare media and cultures
  • Operate and maintain equipment in the microbiology laboratory
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly verifications
  • Weigh samples
  • Maintain records of raw data in lab notebooks
  • Record final data in LIMs database
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including GMP and ISO17025.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient analytical laboratory space.
  • The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance with existing project-specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures and wearing required Personal Protective equipment at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc in Microbiology
  • Experience in aseptic techniques and working with multiple bacterial cultures (i.e. listeria, E.coli)
  • Working knowledge of GMP and/or ISO17025 guidelines
  • Minimum 0-1 years commercial laboratory experience

Responsibilities:

  • Routine testing of client-supplied samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Operation and maintenance of microbiology equipment.
  • Quality control functions (i.e., media preparation, balance verification, water quality, etc.
