Description:

London Trading Centre is an extension of Head Office’s Global Markets department trading platform that provides clients with greater coverage in foreign exchange, derivatives, commodities and fixed income trading. As an Analyst, you will provide analytical support on economical, financial and market matters to make positive contribution to the London Trading Centre’s core objectives. This is a full time permanent position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
  • Knowledge of financial markets related policies and regulations
  • Hands-on experience with financial and statistical softwares
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Familiarity with finance databases
  • Excellent communications skills including the ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
  • Ideally certain understanding of Bloomberg terminal functionality
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse key developments in China’s financial markets and macro economy and prepare reports to support the London Trading Centre’s trading and sales teams
  • Monitor key political and thematic events in China to supplement research output and widen understanding on impact on markets
  • Develop specific understanding and insight of domestic Chinese FX, bond/money market and offshore credit
  • Follow developments in UK and Eurozone’s financial markets to support analysis for Bank of China London Branch, EMEA branches and Head Office’s Research team
  • Provide thematic reviews of particular topics which present further in depth analysis to market direction
  • At the request of sales teams prepare and present specific reports to key institutional clients
  • Prepare presentations upon request of Head Office, Management Staff of Bank of China London Branch and sales teams ensuring consistently high and professional delivery
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to and ensure open communication with compliance teams
  • Provide training to colleagues to broaden understanding of economic analysis and impact upon financial markets
