YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Our Montreal office is looking for an Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join the Financial Advisory Services team and own the following responsibilities:
- Support various business development initiatives including pitches, proposals and presentations;
- Perform market, industry and company research;
- Prepare financial models and preliminary company valuations;
- Perform various in-depth financial analyses on companies including analyzing and understanding the sustainability of earnings and cash flows, operating working capital requirements and key drivers of financial performance;
- Prepare lists of potential acquisition targets, buyers and/or investors;
- Communicate directly with various transaction counterparties including the client, target, potential buyers, other advisors and lenders;
- Assist in the preparation of professional transaction documents such as teasers and confidential information memorandums; and
- Assist, from time to time and based on needs, other transaction-related service lines ( e.g. financial due diligence, valuation).

Your experience and education
- Willing to pursue one or more graduate level relevant professional designation(s), e.g. CPA, CBV, CFA, MBA, MSc.;
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Highly motivated, positive and solution-oriented, autonomous, detail- oriented â¯and able to work under pressure
- Strong business acumen and analytical skillsâ¯
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications ( i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with VBAs, Macros, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Capital IQ and Bloomberg is an asset
- Willing to work outside normal business hours when required
