SUMMARY:

The Analyst M&A will support the entire M&A deal lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution to post-acquisition integration. During integration management this role will provide support in tracking progress and addressing any integration challenges and generally will be responsible for M&A strategy and execution along with deal lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, M&A advisory, or consulting
  • Advanced skills in Excel; previous experience building detailed financial, valuation, M&A models
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong written/verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to gain credibility and trust with senior leaders and decision-makers
  • Solution and results oriented with ability to solve problems
  • Previous experience and understanding of Tableau, BigQuery, and SQL preferred
  • Previous music industry M&A experience preferred

Responsibilities:

M&A Lifecycle

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to help identify and evaluate acquisition and investment opportunities
  • Assist with due diligence activities with cross functional teams relating to inputs in valuation, artist contracts, business model and strategy review
  • Engage in financial analyses of target companies and build valuation models
  • Support M&A strategy with analyses of market potential, customer needs, strategic and commercial fit, and financial attractiveness

Integration Management

  • Assist in the post-acquisition integration process by coordinating with team members across the organization to support the onboarding and integration of acquired businesses or assets
  • Provide support in tracking progress and addressing any integration challenges

Corporate Finance

  • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting to assist in financing and cash-flow forecasts related to M&A
  • Support the financing and deal approval process by preparing materials, extracting data, and helping to develop financial models
  • Assist in financial reporting for acquired companies and assets
