Cross Company Responsibility: Yes (NYSEG and RG&E)
The base salary range for this position is $54,751 to $68,439, depending on experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Required:
Associate degree with one year of analytical experience (understanding complex billing data, advanced excel) or High School/GED with at least 3 years analytical experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to provide meter data in an understandable format and effectively communicate across multiple groups to ensure accurate billing for customers
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments such as meter management, meter data analysis, meter testing, and project support.
  • Strong detailed orientation and planning skills with a customer focus to ensure timely and accurate customer bills
  • Demonstrated analytical skill in understanding complex billing and metering
  • Excellent system skills including but not limited to Excel and SAP

JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:
The Analyst-Meter Services supports the processes of metering revenue operations including Meter Test Labs and Warehouses, Field Measurement Technicians, Meter Engineering, and Meter Data Collection, verification and reporting. Develops reports and tracking mechanisms for all types of meter replacement and revenue assurance programs including complex meter billing and PSC mandated programs and reports.
Responsible for meter data management for MV90 and AMI accounts. Ensures timely and accurate billing based on data in Meter Data Management systems. Coordinates with other areas of the business to ensure that data is complete and accurate and presented for billing.
May be responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory of meters, parts, and accessories. Assists in the specification of measurement equipment, annual budget processes, and coordination and implementation of all metering replacement programs. Also may design and build appropriate sized gas regulators for elevated pressure and specify the correct metering, regulation, and relief equipment for gas meter sets.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
1. Investigates, analyzes, and determines solutions related to meter services with the goals of achieving customer service objectives and PSC mandated targets. . (60%)
3. Audits and maintains all related records including meter data, maintenance plans and equipment certification records. (10%)
4. Provides the technical support to validate/correct and deliver metering data for accurate and timely customer billing (25%)
5. May Supports Gas Field Measurement and Gas Operations with the design and building of gas meter sets for elevated pressure and large C/I services. (5%)
Financial Responsibility:
Responsible for delivering accurate data and billing information for complex billing situations.
