Description:

As an Analyst within the ETF & Electronic Trading team at National Bank, you will have the unique opportunity to solve complex financial problems with cutting-edge technology. We are a vertically integrated team, aiming for every team member to ultimately be able to fully own the trading algorithm development process; from understanding the trading intentions, researching the best approach given the market microstructure environment, eliciting technical requirements, implementing them using the appropriate technology, testing and validating the behaviors and finally tracking and monitoring trading performance.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • STEM educational background completed
  • Experience in programming (Java / C++ / HDL)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and French
  • Ability to work effectively in high context-switching environments is a significant asset
  • Experience with low-latency and real-time systems is a significant asset
  • Understanding and interest in market microstructure dynamics is an asset
  • Grasp of technology inner workings and their performance implications is an asset
