Responsibilities:

Man Group is a technology focused hedge fund and are creating opportunities across all parts of the firm to expand and take advantage of specific skillsets. This hybrid role will be for 2 or 3 days a week, and it is an ideal opportunity for a technical person to work on the business side of the firm. The successful candidate will focus on supporting and improving reconciliation processes.
The candidate will be responsible for risk management, risk & control improvements for existing processes, as well as liaising with investment and trading teams on new business onboarding, counterparts, and custodians. In addition, the candidate will be involved in helping grow the business and providing operational input and support as business lines are added.
Job Description

Main Purpose

  • Ensure outsource providers reconciliations are up to date and accurate
  • Onboarding of new products and broker reconciliations
  • Monitoring of Cash breaks

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for any reconciliation related queries
  • To perform reconciliations remaining in-house and in periods of business continuity planning
  • Provide oversight on the Cross-product Reconciliation processes performed by our outsource provider
  • Managing queries from both internal and external clients in an efficient and timely manner
  • Assisting in the development of reconciliation processes with the solutions team
  • Reviewing current working practices and processes to improve processes where possible
  • Ensure all processes meet the Audit and Internal Control Framework
  • Key liaison and central point of contact between investment management businesses and our service providers
  • Provide input and support to broader multi-team projects and initiatives, undertaking system testing and implementation
  • Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data requirements and ensure impacts are managed appropriately
  • Act as a point of escalation to service provider to resolve issues
