Responsibilities:

As our Analyst, Payroll you’ll drive:

  • Semi-monthly, Canadian multi-provincial payroll processing using Employee Central Payroll (SAP) and ADP programs.
  • Calculating and maintaining various payroll schedules, in compliance with established policies and processes, and making the necessary payroll entries.
  • Calculating and remitting ER and EE payroll deductions and contributions including garnishments, Workers’ Compensation, payroll and other pre-/post-payroll processing tasks.
  • Preparation and distribution of ROEs and pay statements after each payroll.
  • Assisting with payroll month-end and year-end activities, including GL account balancing and reconciliations, quarterly/annual returns, distribution of T4s, etc.
  • Monitoring the Payroll email inbox and responding to payroll-related inquiries submitted from offices across Canada.
  • Preparing and distributing Letters of Employment on request
  • Validate payroll records for all new hires, terminations, salary increases, deductions, direct deposit, earnings and T4, and other related items
  • Auditing of benefit deductions and tax set up in payroll system
  • Act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all payroll related matters
  • Work with ADP US to resolve tax situations.
  • Works through the payroll transmission process including adjusting xml transfer files as necessary.
  • Works with benefits providers, internal benefits team on payments and files for RRSP and or 401K.
