JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Analyst Development Program provides aspiring commercial/multifamily real estate professionals the opportunity to join NMRK’s Multifamily Capital Markets platform, one of the nation’s leading providers of multifamily capital solutions, and work with top performing multifamily debt and structured finance teams in the industry. The program provides successful candidates with a range of unique experiences to help develop their technical skills and competencies, enhance their overall industry knowledge, and shape them into future business leaders. Over the course of the two-year rotational program, Analysts develop their careers through a series of hands-on roles within critical functions of the business (production, underwriting, asset management, trading, and financial reporting), that will expose them to significant, real-time deal flow. Additionally, Analysts will participate in periodic formal training sessions that are strategically designed to provide a well-rounded view of multifamily investment, debt capital markets and our specific business. Upon completion of the program, the cross-functional knowledge and breadth of experience should allow Analysts to pursue numerous career paths within Multifamily Capital Markets.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The Analyst Development Program is focused on developing high-potential, entry-level professionals. Therefore, Newmark evaluates undergraduate and graduate candidates based on grade point average, leadership abilities, communication skills, and relevant coursework and experience. Specifically, Multifamily Capital Markets looks for candidates with the following:
- Strong academic performance – minimum GPA 3.0 (4.0 scale)
- Internship/co-op experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with diverse sets of situations and people
Willingness and ability to travel when requiredDemonstrated behaviors consistent with MFCM’s short- and long-term business needs: initiative/drive, critical/analytical thinking, effective decision-making and relationship-building skills
