Analyst - Power Marketing/Origination

We are seeking a talented self-starter, who is highly motivated and capable of assuming increasing responsibility in a dynamic growth environment.
In this role, you will be focused on supporting the Origination team as it markets solar energy and battery storage projects to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and Utility buyers of renewable energy. A large part of the role involves managing research, proposal development, and participation in RFPs and similar processes. The position will report to the Company’s Origination & Structuring department leadership. The role will focus on the US market, with potential for some exposure to international markets over time.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing research for procurement mechanisms, green tariff programs and other alternatives and related value proposition to buyers.
• Managing assessment, preparation and submission of proposals to buyers including bilateral dialogues and bids into RFPs and related activities.
• Providing detailed reporting of ongoing origination function activity, market data, trends and related topics.
• Responsible for the creation of commercial materials and management of outreach campaigns.
• Potentially as the role evolves over time, interacting with market participants including utilities, energy retailers, trade associations C&I buyers, and others, in market outreach, relationship development, and assessing and providing solutions to serve buyers’ interest.
• Support the Origination team as needed in various ad hoc projects/assignments

Required Qualifications:

• Highly comfortable speaking and writing in business context
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant energy markets, energy or other infrastructure project development, origination and/or business or project development roles
• We are open to less experienced candidates with very strong academic preparation (energy markets, energy engineering, etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in renewable energy, economics, finance, engineering or similar discipline
• Strong project/process management experience - including organization skills, analysis and problem solving, multitasking, attention to detail
• Skilled at analyzing opportunities and problems and arriving at clear decisions, utilizing detailed quantitative analysis
• Experience working in with spreadsheets, word processing and presentations.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00*
