What You’ll Be Doing
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for leading the replenishment process to ensure costs are accurately tracked and supplies are consistently available. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to act as a single point of contact for invoices, accurately coding invoices based on the service provided, tracking invoice status to ensure timely payment, and ensuring invoices are validated prior to receiving sign off. The Procurement Analyst uses professional analytical, communication, and application skills to work with internal business partners and external suppliers to ensure the appropriate delivery of technology goods and services. The role exercises independent judgement within defined procedures, providing input to the fiscal planning process based on previous trend analysis and planned initiatives identified through consultation with assigned portfolios.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Communication & Collaboration: Work with both internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to obtain the necessary request details, hardware quotes, ETA’s, and updates. Ability to understand customer needs and expectations to provide excellent service . Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. You have the ability to interact with and influence people/groups of widely varying disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Leadership & Accountability – Function as the request “Owner” for all procurement tasks and have an overall responsibility for the end to end processing and management of the request to deployment. Accountable to ensure that the vendor, IT teams and procurement staff are providing updates efficiently and effectively to manage client expectations and meet timelines. Monitor, track and report on outstanding tickets to ensure they are resolved in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for accessing process requirements and implementing improvements. Help determine viable solutions and make recommendations for alternatives and enhancements to daily throughput. Validate, prepare and submit hardware orders and facilitate the receiving of invoices. Work with tool mod team to submit changes and test results. Build a solid foundation with the development and governance of processes and guidelines.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in: managing large volume of requests in a complex enterprise environment; experience with IT processes, related industry best practice frameworks and standards ; you have experience in supply chain management and Technology Procurement or related field. Post-secondary diploma/certificate in information technology and/or business (or equivalent work experience) and have excellent MS Excel skills; any experience or exposure with PeopleSoft will be an added advantage. Have the ability to multi-task and make sound judgments in a fast-paced, high stress environment. You are focused, organized, and have the ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity in a complex operational environment while under time constraints.
  • You have strong knowledge & experience of: first and second level support; ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently; have the knowledge of ITIL foundation; and Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
