Description:

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the organisation’s business reporting of key revenue metrics to ensure maximization of guests and revenue for the Royal Caribbean brand in Australia & New Zealand
The position has responsibility for reporting and interpretation of business performance at a local product level as well as providing insights and reporting on performance of our globally deployed ships to achieve the market’s annual guest and revenue plan

Responsibilities:

  • Business analysis - responsible for preparing / updating the weekly performance reporting including the weekly trading meeting and the sailing level performance summary Continually thinks of ways to improve reporting to be more efficient and to drive further insights
  • Pricing Analysis – continual review (weekly/monthly) of the booked APD (Average Per Day) position vs forecast and report key findings and opportunities/risks to revenue team to help shape pricing and inventory decisions Provide concise summaries of recommended changes to the Revenue Product Team
  • Competitor Pricing – Monitors competitor pricing and promotions Reports on competitor trends to the Revenue Product Team and senior management
  • Market Sourcing – continual review of market performance against annual sourcing plan Provide concise summaries of how our sourcing requirements have changed between forecast rounds Makes recommendations to the business on the optimisation of our rest of world sourcing mix based on itinerary length of sailing and proximity to sailing
  • Channel Analysis - performs analysis on channel performance and share against track and forecast Review channel share at sailing level and provide concise summaries back to the business on what this means for the remaining guests we need to book
  • Track Performance & Analysis – continual review of booking performance vs track identifying any sailings which require additional focus Responsible for the optimisation of the future track curve; through booking window analysis (both passenger and APD) overlayed with promotional and strategic initiatives Owns submitting any overrides into the system and working with Miami to ensure loaded successfully Recommends and implements improvements to the local track override model
  • Retention Analysis – Develop a good understanding of retention rate models and the impact on the booked position Be the ‘first line of defence’ in identifying any unexpected movements in our booked position which could be driven by unexpected retention behaviour Work with the Senior Revenue Planning analyst to investigate this further
  • Promotional Reporting Analysis – Provide regular analysis on booking performance in relation to the promotional strategy including but not limited to key promotional periods (eg Black Friday) strategic partnerships and specific (eg product focused) promotional offers
  • Revenue Newsletter – Pioneer the monthly Australia Revenue team newsletter providing the Australia office with a snapshot of our strategic projects insights and market “wins”
  • Liaise with Miami – Establishes and maintains successful relationships with peers in the Revenue Management Revenue Planning and the International Business Performance teams in Miami to understand live projects and to advocate for the Australia office Work with Miami Revenue Strategy & Commercial teams to adopt latest reporting tools and/or request resourcing to support local business
  • Power BI – Becomes subject matter expert on existing BI reporting produced by Miami Liaises with Miami to make changes / improvements to any BI reporting that is not fit-for-purpose for the Australia market Creates new dashboards for Australia if Miami are not able to support
