As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Analyst to join our Environmental Science Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and committed Analyst to join our Advanced Chemistry & Research team. As a member of our team, it is key that you are able to work efficiently and independently, as well as working well as part of a wider team. While you may be performing the same array of tests day to day, the projects you undertake and the locations you are working from will constantly change, meaning no two days will be the same.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Performing assigned tasks without supervision to the required productivity and in line with Standard Operating Procedures after receiving full training
• Maintaining good laboratory practice at all times, following methods, standard operating procedures, local rules and regulations, maintaining equipment and safe working procedures
• Being aware of, and conforming to the Laboratory Quality system, specifically UKAS (ISO17025) and MCERTS requirements
• Projecting a professional, courteous image and supporting the business culture and codes of practice at all times

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Good communication at all levels with good organisational skills
• Client focus and a drive for quality
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent customer service skills

Our Advanced Chemistry & Research team offers analysis to a wide range of different industries and professions. We specialise in the testing and analysis of air samples, marine sediments, and non-routine and bespoke sample matrices. We have a long history of developing specialised methods to meet customers’ requirements, operating from state-of-the-art laboratories holding fully comprehensive ISO17025 and MCERTS accreditations.
