EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is a must to obtain UAE visa.
  • Experience in a complex organization (Financial Services organizations preferred)
  • An excellent level of business analysis experience requiring strong technical and commercial understanding of what drives the numbers reported.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders, working effectively across teams and problem solving with the confidence to make measured decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Execution oriented: proactive escalation of issues whilst maintaining solution focused and flexible approach to accommodate the changing business/function needs.
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to bring analytical rigor and structure and effective solutions to poorly defined problems.
  • Strong communication skills – applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
  • Sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commercially minded and customer focused.
  • A professional Finance qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the MENAT Head of Strategic Cost Management and partner with HSBCs Finance community, Global Finance Centers, DBS teams, Global Businesses and Global Functions to deliver controls, processes, strategic plans, forecasts, analysis, insights and performance reports for MENAT.
  • Consolidate, critically review, analyses and capture commentary on delta, risks and opportunities through a robust reporting framework for the region, and pro-actively drive reporting enhancements as needed.
  • Engage with key global, regional and country teams to deliver reliable reporting and analysis.
  • Key contact for UAE cost reporting and analysis. Expected to manage UAE cost performance closely and ensure that targets and forecasts are updated and relevant.
  • Promote the evolution of AI and emerging HSBC finance tools for reporting and analysis to ensure clear understanding and connection to MENAT Strategic Initiatives and wider Group investment activity.
  • Due to the high degree of change in the industry, regulatory environment, macroeconomic environment and internally, the role holder will be required to be comfortable with ambiguity and be adaptable to the evolving environment in order to support change programmers, enabling the realization of programme objectives, including working closely with key stakeholders to re-engineer processes.
