DESCRIPTION

Purolator is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Operations Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving our AWS security landscape, overseeing the organization’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies, and executing various security operations activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of Purolator’s digital assets and supporting our mission to deliver promises across Canada.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a security operations role, with a focus on AWS security.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security services (e.g., IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Security Hub). Knowledge of Azure security practices is a plus.
  • Experience with DLP tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of encryption, secure data transmission, and endpoint security.
  • Proficiency in SIEM tools and understanding of network security principles.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty) are a plus.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect AWS environments.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents within AWS, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to secure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Develop and enforce DLP policies to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Monitor data flows and analyze potential data breaches, providing actionable insights.
  • Implement DLP technologies and tools, ensuring they are effectively integrated into existing systems.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans to identify security risks.
  • Develop and implement patch management strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely application of patches and updates.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely and thorough incident reports.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify security risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
