L’ Analyste en Gouvernance des Données, Gouvernance des Données Maîtres sera responsable des activités de qualité des données telles que le profilage des données, la gestion des règles de qualité des données et la création/gestion d’actifs de visualisation/rapport de données. Les outils utilisés dans ce rôle incluent des règles de qualité des données, des requêtes SQL et des plateformes de visualisation (Tableau, PowerBI). Nous soutenons les équipes des opérations de gestion des données maîtres avec l’analyse/rapport des exigences commerciales et la gestion de nos normes de gouvernance des données organisationnelles dans tous les domaines de données maîtres de nos unités commerciales nord-américaines. Ce poste collaborera étroitement avec les intendants des données, les propriétaires de données, l’équipe des opérations MDM ainsi que les parties prenantes commerciales pour profiler, nettoyer et normaliser les données conformément aux normes de gouvernance, aux politiques et aux besoins des projets. Ce rôle développera des relations solides avec toutes les unités commerciales et départements pour influencer et promouvoir l’alignement dans l’adoption de nouveaux ensembles de données ou de processus modifiés. L’expérience avec les outils de qualité des données, les catalogues de données, les dictionnaires de données et la lignée des données sera essentielle dans ce rôle.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, science or computer science or relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of master data management
  • Leadership competency.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI platforms
  • Experience with Data Quality tools (Informatica, Ataccama or similar)
  • Proficiency in programming languages and data-clearing languages, such as SQL
  • An eye and creative mind for clear data visualization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrates analytical ability and attention to detail, working under general direction on multiple tasks with competing timelines
  • Advanced problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines
  • Professional conduct and demeanor, uses discretion and maintains a high level of confidentiality

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Experience in data processing, audit, quality assurance, and/or process improvement experience is a plus
  • Preferred experience in SAP, JD Edwards, People Soft, or other ERP systems
  • Experience with Data Catalog, Data Dictionary, Data Cleansing systems.
  • Other technical skills that would be beneficial: Snowflake, R, Python and BW.
    The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Data governance activities such as cataloging, mapping, cleansing and standardization.
  • Build reporting and analytics to support MDM operations activity while providing recommendations to improve the processes
  • Focus on data and process gap identification, compliance, and data policy adherence
  • Provide recommendations and support master data initiatives as they pertain to quality efforts and initiatives
  • Leverage investigative and problem-solving skills to rectify issues to ensure ongoing data integrity
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Evaluate internal master data quality for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Provide input on data elements to profile, proactively reach out to business partners on validation of processes
  • Report results back to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal and external teams
  • Lead efforts with MDM team to address exceptions
  • Ensuring KPIs’ and metrics are defined and published to appropriate stakeholders
  • Ongoing data quality monitoring and audits
  • Provide recommendations to the immediate supervisor regarding continuous improvement regarding data quality
