Relevant du Directeur logistique, le Spécialiste Logistique a pour mandat principal de coordonner toutes les activités reliées au transport des matières premières et des produits finis. Il travaille en étroite collaboration avec le Planificateur/relanceur et le Superviseur Logistique afin d’optimiser l’utilisation des ressources tant humaines que matériels pour la réception et la livraison des marchandises dans les meilleurs délais possibles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Suite Microsoft Office (particulièrement Word et Excel);
  • Connaissance avec le système ERP SAP
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (parlé et écrit);
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire;
  • DEC en Logistique du transport ou formation académique pertinente.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Diploma of college studies in transportation logistics or relevant academic training

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate truck drivers’ delivery of finished products to the distribution centre, the movement of trucks between the loading docks, and pickup and delivery of merchandise.
  • Schedule appointments with suppliers for the delivery of raw materials.
  • Plan and coordinate the use of loading docks.
  • Plan and coordinate the use of trailers with different carrier
  • Coordinate the loading in SAP
  • Draw up and communicate specific truck loading instructions to the various work shifts.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for transporting the merchandise.
  • Plan and oversee the inspection and maintenance of tractors and trucks, as required or as per SAAQ inspection schedules.
  • Receive and distribute packages from courier services.
  • Participate in cycle and periodical inventory counts.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancy during shipping
  • Report any food quality problems to the Production Manager.
