JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Senior Planning and Logistics Manager - Sivem, the Senior Supply Planning Associate is responsible for the daily management of supply activities for Sivem brand finished products to ensure optimal stock levels and flawless market availability. He/she will carry out crucial activities for the proper functioning of the planning system, such as (i) updating and maintaining the master supply plan, (ii) tracking open purchase orders with suppliers, and (iii) identifying, communicating, and mitigating inventory shortage risks. The holder of this position must work autonomously and innovatively in collaboration with other departments within the organization to ensure maximum service levels.
Specific Responsibilities

Inventory and Operations Management (40%)

  • Extract transactions carried out by the 3PL warehouse, analyze them, and enter them into our systems.
  • Accelerate the availability of critical products through the supply chain by collaborating with internal stakeholders (QA, distribution) and external partners (suppliers, 3PL warehouse).
  • Manage the daily relationship with warehouse operations.
  • Build inventory risk projections and manage the obsolescence process.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all inquiries regarding inventory status and associated risks.

Distribution Management (30%)

  • Analyze and oversee the distribution of inventory and the integrity of customer orders.
  • Maximize service levels by establishing inventory allocation strategies and monitoring the execution of these action plans until completion.
  • Manage master distribution data and communicate changes.
  • Manage the daily relationship with the warehouse customer service team and the distribution supply group.

Procurement (20%)

  • Maintain the integrity of the MRP system in Excel and keep it updated at all times.
  • Communicate with/meet with finished product suppliers to monitor the progress of our orders and supply chain challenges.
  • Identify and communicate supply risks that could potentially lead to inventory shortages.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders (such as demand management, QA, regulatory affairs, marketing) to mitigate/resolve challenges related to product availability.
  • Manage the daily relationship with suppliers concerning inventory availability and logistics.

Reporting Management (5%)

  • Prepare the weekly inventory management dashboard.
  • Identify, communicate, and report current and upcoming inventory shortages.
  • Support the Senior Manager in the quarterly measurement of supplier performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

  • Two to five years of experience in inventory planning & management and/or procurement.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and the life sciences sector is an asset.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
  • A professional designation in supply chain management (e.g., CPIM) is an asset.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, APO, SmartOps, IBP, JDA, or other supply chain management software is an asset.

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
