THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • BS, MS or PhD in Chemistry; BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD with 0-1 year of relevant work experience in an R&D analytical laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated fundamental understanding of analytical chemistry and its related technologies, such as LC, GC, ICP, FTIR and wet chemistry techniques. Working knowledge of mass spectrometry (MS) is beneficial.
  • Experience in analytical method development and validation.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to identify and solve scientific problems incorporating holistic data review and interpretation.Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reckitt Montvale is seeking an analytical chemist to join our team in the role of R&D Associate in the Chemistry & Measurement Science lab. The successful candidate will be active in the lab and act as a project lead to provide analytical expertise for Health & Hygiene global new product development, including the Lysol, Dettol, and Harpic brands. The candidate must have the desire to become a technical leader, working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize expertise in analytical chemistry to drive R&D projects to better understand product functionality and efficacy.
  • Lead the development and validation of new methods for product launch and claim support.
  • Utilize a wide range of Analytical techniques, including chromatography (LC and GC), mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy to provide efficient and robust analysis.
  • Support the advancement of analytical capabilities through identification of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Conduct studies in a timely manner and concisely communicate results to a variety of audiences.
  • Prepare scientific reports, technical documents, SOPs, and protocols for internal or external publication/presentation.
  • Serve as technical mentor for junior chemists on analytical method and instrument issues.
