Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is Ireland’s most highly accredited contract laboratory, providing industry-leading sampling, analysis, and skilled micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients across the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors. We deliver customized managed service solutions, allowing clients to have our expert team on-site at their own facilities or outsource those services to us here at CLS.This permanent position involves managing and contributing to chromatographic method development, supporting the production of clinical and commercial small molecule APIs. The successful candidate will oversee the development, validation, and troubleshooting of analytical methods, ensuring compliance and high standards in laboratory practices.Job Title: Analytical Method Development (Principal Scientist)
Job Duties
Lead all analytical method development activities, focusing on chromatographic techniques such as HPLC and GC.
Develop, validate, and troubleshoot methods for new and existing products, with responsibilities in analytical testing, campaign support, material release, process R&D, and reference standard qualification.
Prepare and review analytical method development and validation reports, maintaining rigorous standards and ensuring timely project completion.
Ensure lab instrumentation is calibrated and properly maintained, collaborating with senior chemists for technical support on analytical methods and quality investigations.
Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, SHE, and other key stakeholders to support compliant, efficient manufacturing.
Mentor junior team members, maintain GMP compliance, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Where You Come FromYou have a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, holding at least a BSc or MSc in this field or a related area. Ideally, you bring 3-5 years of experience in analytical method development. Your expertise in chromatographic techniques (HPLC and GC) and knowledge of GMP standards for lab operations are essential.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in analytical method development within a pharmaceutical setting.
Expertise in HPLC and GC method development.
Strong technical writing, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a solid understanding of analytical chemistry.
Familiarity with FDA and European GMP standards for laboratory operations.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment, with a focus on compliance and high performance.
