THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING AND THE SKILLS WE NEED:

  • Problem solving skills.
  • This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
  • Education in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or accounting.
  • Experience using data science skills and quantitative analysis to solve business problems.
  • Comfortable communicating analysis to members of the executive team and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in deriving analytics across various platforms (e.g. Excel, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI). Qlik is a strong plus.
  • 3-5+ years of data analysis/business analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills are required.
  • Experience with SQL and/or other data analytics tools.
  • Experience with Languages: SQL, Qlik, VBA
  • Experience in the following Software: Postman, Excel, Qlik, Power Automate, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Expertise in a broad range of data analysis, statistical, and data management methods.
  • Strong financial and accounting acumen and analytical ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity).

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Analytics Associate will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and providing valuable insights to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Aggregate and organize data from multiple platforms and systems. Suggest procedural changes to

improve model accuracy and efficiency.

  • Build data ingestion pipelines to collect and process relevant data from multiple sources.
  • Clean and enrich data through transformation layers to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Create informative and visually appealing dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Build, maintain, and calibrate business models to facilitate effective operations, planning, analysis, and decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Identify key operational drivers and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Analyze portions of the monthly operating review package and extract actionable business insights.
  • Develop predictive models to support business forecasting and planning.
  • Interact and coordinate with other departments to address business issues and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address cross-departmental business issues and support decision making.
  • Collaborate with non-analytics team members to share insights and educate them on data driven practices.
