As an Analytics Engineer at Bambuser, you’ll be an integral part of our data team. You will focus on building scalable analytics workflows, maintaining and developing key dashboards, and solving complex analytical problems in a scalable manner. You’ll take part in driving our analytics strategy, ensuring data quality and availability across the business. In this role, you will have a visible impact by creating data products that directly influence the business, customers, and product insights.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with transformation tools such as Dataform or dbt.
- Experience with Python, or similar, and an understanding of cloud platforms, particularly GCP (Google Cloud Platform), is a plus.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Looker) and a desire to create meaningful, visually appealing insights.
BUSINESS AND SOFT SKILLS
- High stakeholder engagement: You will regularly interface with both technical and non-technical teams across the business.
- Familiarity with e-commerce or streaming data in an event-driven architecture is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
EXPERIENCE
- Mid-level to senior experience, with a proven track record in analytics engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role.
- Experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain analytics tables to ensure data is easily accessible and actionable.
- Develop and maintain key dashboards in ThoughtSpot and other BI tools to serve key business insights to internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Product, and Customer Success Management (CSM), to deliver actionable insights.
- Solve complex analytical challenges and provide scalable, high-quality data solutions (ie: attribution modeling).
- Contribute to the development of Bambuser’s data strategy, including the improvement of our “golden data sets” and other key initiatives.
- Drive improvements in data quality and availability, helping the company make data-driven decisions.
- Build and optimize data products exposed to our customers, impacting their experience and success.
