ANDROID DEVELOPER

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating test capabilities for applications using Appium. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and performance of applications in an emulator environment.
Your future colleagues are waiting for you to join our international team. Working with us is uncomplicated, there’s a good team spirit, low-hierarchy and nonexistent bureaucracy. Our way of working is flexible too, many of our team work remotely from home with visits to our office from time to time when needed. In this position we hope you can visit our client´s office a few times a week. This role is equally challenging, and as such we offer a very good compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement test automation frameworks for Android applications using Appium.
• Set up and maintain application testing in an emulator environment.
• Troubleshoot issues with applications and provide solutions to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure robust socket connectivity and troubleshoot connection issues as needed.
• Document test cases and results, maintaining a library of automated tests.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Android development and testing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in Android development using Java and Kotlin.
• Familiarity with the Android SDK and Appium testing framework.
• Proficient in Python programming for scripting and automation tasks.
• Experience with emulator environments for application testing.
• Knowledge of socket connectivity and related troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience
• Good Finnish or English skills
