We are looking for an Android Framework Engineer to join our team in Argentina and support one of our clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and build systems.
  • Experience with Android Architecture, especially Linux Kernel, HAL, Treble.
  • 3+ years modifying Android framework components and system services.
  • 5+ years with object-oriented designs.
  • Proficient in C++, Java, or Kotlin.
  • Solid experience with software lifecycle methodologies.
  • Cross-team resource management to achieve project goals.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Android Automotive OS.
  • Experience with Google Services for Android (GAS).
  • Familiarity with CDD and related test suites (e.g., Compatibility Test Suite).
  • Agile development practices and tools (e.g., SAFe, Confluence, Jira).
  • Leadership experience in small software teams within the automotive industry.
  • Expertise in optimizing Linux/Android application performance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of hypervisors in automotive environments.

Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with system engineers and software experts to develop car computer solutions in early phases.
  • Analyze and profile Android framework, system applications, or services.
  • Identify and resolve issues at the AOSP framework level.
  • Improve stability and optimize critical operations of the Android framework.
  • Review interfaces and contribute to Android and company-owned frameworks.
  • Align technically with suppliers and development partners.
  • Implement cutting-edge approaches for top-tier infotainment systems.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create technical specifications and documentation.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.
  • Track and review system issues and tickets.
  • Report status to stakeholders, both domestic and international.
  • Mentor junior developers on best practices and design patterns.
