We are looking for an Android Framework Engineer to join our team in Argentina and support one of our clients.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and build systems.
- Experience with Android Architecture, especially Linux Kernel, HAL, Treble.
- 3+ years modifying Android framework components and system services.
- 5+ years with object-oriented designs.
- Proficient in C++, Java, or Kotlin.
- Solid experience with software lifecycle methodologies.
- Cross-team resource management to achieve project goals.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of Android Automotive OS.
- Experience with Google Services for Android (GAS).
- Familiarity with CDD and related test suites (e.g., Compatibility Test Suite).
- Agile development practices and tools (e.g., SAFe, Confluence, Jira).
- Leadership experience in small software teams within the automotive industry.
- Expertise in optimizing Linux/Android application performance.
- Hands-on knowledge of hypervisors in automotive environments.
Responsibilities:
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with system engineers and software experts to develop car computer solutions in early phases.
- Analyze and profile Android framework, system applications, or services.
- Identify and resolve issues at the AOSP framework level.
- Improve stability and optimize critical operations of the Android framework.
- Review interfaces and contribute to Android and company-owned frameworks.
- Align technically with suppliers and development partners.
- Implement cutting-edge approaches for top-tier infotainment systems.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create technical specifications and documentation.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.
- Track and review system issues and tickets.
- Report status to stakeholders, both domestic and international.
- Mentor junior developers on best practices and design patterns.
