Your mission is to improve the user experience for the millions of Desjardins members and clients who use our mobile services app. As an Android Programmer Analyst, you support IT efficiency. You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade mobile apps. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Design, implement and review solutions for the Android platform
- Stay on top of the latest Android platform updates
- Help keep the app healthy (platform updates and dependencies)
- Help resolve mobile application incidents in the production environment
- Take part in organizing the mobile application delivery pipeline for integrating new features

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency with Android Studio and app tools
- Advanced proficiency with Material Design and UX
- Knowledge of various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- In-depth knowledge of the Android ecosystem
- Knowledge of Android architecture components (LiveData, Flow, Coroutine, Lifecycle-aware components, Room)
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of common Android architecture patterns: MVP, MVVM, MVC
- Knowledge of current libraries: Retrofit, Firebase, Moshi, Glide
- Knowledge of Git
- Knowledge of reactive programming, observer pattern and RxJava/RxKotlin
- Knowledge Koin dependency injection
- Knowledge of Proguard
- Knowledge of continuous integration practices (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gradle)
- Expertise in development with Kotlin
- Expertise in synchronous, asynchronous and multithreaded programming
