We are eager to meet Android engineers who can realize innovative, robust, and creative solutions to complicated development challenges in an end-to-end product development environment.

Your role would be to develop Android applications using the Android SDK and Kotlin, following best practices, and using standard development tools.
We are currently looking for engineers to join us on the following project:
Garmin Alpha App-Outdoor: Through the Garmin Alpha ecosystem, we provide our customers with real-time dog tracking for up to 20 collars or devices and customizable tracking lines for each dog, based on speed threshold, so he can clearly see when a dog is chasing. We also offer online and offline mapping to know the lay of the land. Hunt data can be saved to the cloud for easy access, and the user can playback hunt activities or individual dog tracks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong Kotlin and Android SDK knowledge.
  • BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar.
  • 5 years of experience with Android development.
  • Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute designs for software components within a larger project .
  • Work effectively with remote teams to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
  • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, and offer suggestions to improve processes.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.
  • Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems.
