Description:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or closely related.
- Experience Requirements: 24 months of experience in the job offered, Software Engineer I, Software Engineer II, or closely related.
- Must be willing to relocate to Mesa, AZ.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform the testing and verification of widgets using an emulator. This includes performing tests by inspecting widget properties written in XML and other software elements.
- Develop and resolve issues related to widgets using proprietary tools such as VAPS XT.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnosis systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions using hardware and software standards.
- Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use and train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and implementation of software quality standards.
- Monitor tasks using JIRA software and using Tortoise SVN for version control.Knowledge of core Android concepts such as MVVM architecture, Dagger-Hilt, Room Database, and Jetpack Compose.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Android Studio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new features and deploy updated apps to customers using device management software.
- Write code that makes the app robust, reliable, and scalable using Amazon Cloud Computing services (AWS) such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AWS Lambdas.
- Leverage mobile architectural patterns such as MVVM and the latest libraries like Dagger-Hilt for dependency injection and Room Database for offline storage of data.
- Test the Android application by writing unit tests and conducting internal testing sessions. This includes continuously improving app performance by fixing bugs tracking progress using JIRA and discussing priorities with the leadership team.
- Update the deprecated code regularly with the current guidelines defined by Google for Android.
- Enhance app security by implementing the latest best practices for securing authenticationand authorization mechanisms.
