• Department: Surgery
• Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, Generally M-Friday from 0630-1500; however some flexibility to work 09-1730. 5 days a week and 8-hour shifts. There is an on-call requirement for this position, which consists of 1-2 weeknights of call and every third or fourth weekend of call a month.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Anesthesia Tech preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Assist licensed anesthesia provider with duties related to the care and monitoring of patients and equipment.

• Clean, sterilize and set up all anesthesia equipment.
• Assist anesthesia provider with patient assessment, monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Provide daily maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assist in the preparation of scheduled, emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia care providers by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available, in working order & in proper location.
