QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Anesthetic Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of [3-5 years] experience in a similar role within a hospital or clinical environment.
• Proficiency in using anesthetic machines, monitors, and related medical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of patient monitoring and anesthesia safety protocols.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek two highly skilled and qualified Anesthetic Technicians to join our dynamic medical team. The successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care to patients undergoing medical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with either a degree or HND in a relevant field and substantial experience in anesthetic technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain anesthetic equipment and supplies before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia to patients, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any anomalies to the anesthesiologist during procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and organize anesthetic instruments and equipment to meet hospital standards.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-operative checks on anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of anesthesia procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in emergency situations by providing immediate support to the anesthesiology team.
• Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care related to anesthesia.
