ANIMAL ATTENDANT (DOG DAYCARE)
As the leading provider of pet care services across Australia, Kip Happy Stays sets the benchmark for excellence, ensuring every pet receives the ultimate in care and enrichment during their stay.
At Kip West Hindmarsh and Kip Broadview, our team is deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through it’s doors. We are now looking for the pick of the litter to complement our existing team and help contribute to providing a premium service to the local pets.
The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours between 6.30am-6.30pm Monday to Friday and for this vacancy, must be available for a minimum of three days per week. Successful candidates may work at one or both sites and we are able to discuss this in detail with shortlisted applicants.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?
- Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
- Confident to physically handle larger dog breeds
- High level of communication and empathetic in nature
- Able to work long days, on your feet, in a high pressure environment
- A passion for, strong desire to learn, or aspiration to continue your development with canine behaviour and training
- Comfortable with computer systems (emails, booking platform) and phone applications (using social media, filming and editing basic video content)
Responsibilities:
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
- Providing canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Implementing daily leadership and training activities
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility
- Building and maintaining rapport with our dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
- Creating and distributing media content for our dog owners through videos and photos
- Daily administration such as answering enquiries through email and phone, record keeping of dog behaviours, preparing documents for dog owners
